As the owners of this unique and historic place, we extend a personal
invitation for you to stay with us. While you’re here, we know you’ll enjoy
our beautiful area, the local lore, and a peaceful, no stress place for you to
unwind.
One of the great advantages of choosing to stay at The Old Winterport
Commercial House is the convenience to many different Maine attractions
without having to drive hours to get there, packing it all up every night to
see someplace different the following day, or trying to get some sleep in a
noisy larger city. Stay with us, do your exploring, and come back for a quiet
and restful night.
If you have never stayed at a B&B before, you are certainly in for a treat
when you choose to stay with us. We offer a very casual and relaxed inn.
Whether you choose to socialize with other guests or choose to have a quaint
and romantic time to yourselves, that option is up to you. We promise we
won’t bug you either! Our private living quarters is on the third floor so we
are there for you if you need us.
BRIDAL SHOWERS, WEDDINGS & FAMILY FUNCTIONS
Groups/families who reserve all of our rooms for their events not only have
the privilege of having the b&b to themselves but also the availability of
using our breakfast room as a gathering place anytime during the day or
evening. Bridal parties have also used it in the morning to get ready for the
big day.
What else is unique about us? As an added feature, all furnishings in your
room are for sale. Guests receive a special 10% discount in our antique shop
or on any of the furnishings in their room.
What is there to do? Antiquing, tastings at the local winery, spending a day
at the beach, area museums, golfing, visiting a lighthouse, skiing or tubing,

While you’re here, we can discuss your interests and give you ideas of things
that are a must see. We can also make suggestions on area restaurants –
especially the restaurants that the locals frequent.

LOCATION
Only 11 miles from I-95, 10 miles from downtown Bangor, Maine and 16
miles from Bangor International Airport. Our location allows the
convenience of day trips to the coast, Belfast, Camden, Acadia National
Park, Bar Harbor, Ellsworth, Bangor, Sears Island Beach, Moosehead Lake,
Hermon Mountain Skiing Area, and many other popular areas.
ROOMS
Located on the second floor above our antique shop (with a separate and
private entrance) are 5 distinct rooms. Three rooms have a single full
size bed, one room has two full size beds, and one with a queen
size bed. All rooms have a private full bath (ensuite), air conditioning,
hair dryer, and clock radio. You will also find delicious chocolates as well as
beautiful seasonal arrangements in each room.
In order to help our guests get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday
life and to promote a more relaxed atmosphere, there are no individual t.v.'s
in the bedrooms. However, we do provide one in the common breakfast room.

BREAKFAST
A relaxing and casual breakfast buffet of various items are served every
morning in our Jeannette Room.
Our guests enjoy:
Fresh Brewed Coffee (regular /decaf)
Hot Tea (regular / herbal)
Juice such as Orange, Cranberry, Tomato, and Apple
Fresh Seasonal Fruit
Quiche of the Day
Hot Oatmeal and a variety of Cold Cereals
Yogurt
Variety of Breads such as Bagels and English Muffins
Homemade Bakery Items such as Ann's Famous Blueberry Muffins. For
those weight conscious, ask us about our Morningstar Muffins which are a
healthier alternative.
Unlike other b&bs you do not have to be at the table at 6am or miss
breakfast. We simply begin serving at 7am and keep replenishing
throughout the morning. So feel free to sleep in !
